The Inherited World — section source map
This map shows where the narrative thesis came from without turning the narrative itself into a citation ledger. It is the bridge between the readable Full page and the research archive.
How to read it
The Full page states the TimeWar synthesis. A research branch shows the cases and reasoning behind a movement of the thesis. The deeper repository paths preserve the object ledgers, clocks, falsifiers and unresolved alternatives. A source route means “this informed the synthesis,” not “every record independently proves the whole thesis.”

The eight representative evidentiary functions
The first edition does not require a page for every civilization. It requires enough distinct cases to establish the structure of the argument:
- manufacturing and metrology;
- quarry, transport and installation;
- landscape-scale hydraulic and urban systems;
- multi-phase reuse and attribution;
- archive and chronology formation;
- catastrophe, survival and successor transmission;
- myth, prophecy and participatory history;
- ascension, disappearance and destination-side traces.

What remains open
The synthesis is stronger than any single object claim. It does not depend on authenticating the private “OG Vase,” dating Angkor to the terminal Pleistocene, proving one pillar was motor-turned, or treating an unresolved earthwork as an energy machine. Those remain live branches with explicit tests.
The largest open questions are now integrative:
- whether several object families converge on the same missing apparatus rather than different lost craft ecologies;
- whether a physically inherited pre-cataclysmic construction phase can be isolated at more than one site;
- whether myths share a historical carrier beyond diffusion and recurrent human experience;
- whether participatory-history effects can be prospectively distinguished from selection and reinterpretation;
- whether any bounded disappearance leaves authenticated identity-bearing information or physical traces on a far side.
These questions extend the thesis. They no longer prevent the first edition from stating it.
